2012 Sexual Health Forum. Early news
Hi Everyone,
The WA Sexual Health Forum is coming to you again this year on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th November. It is time for a change of venue so we have booked the Maritime Museum in Fremantle, a sunlit venue on the harbour, close to public transport, cheap all-day parking and shops. http://www.museum.wa.gov.au/museums/mari...tting-here
The theme for this year is “Yarning from the Heart by the Sea”.
The Working Party is finding wonderful presenters to speak on themes such as:
• Creating engagement,
• Aboriginal sexual health,
• Young men,
• Regional issues,
• Prisons work,
• Families
• Cultural safety.
• Other key issues
• Examples of positive work practice
There will be interactive sessions, sharing with you resources and skills to take back to your workplaces.
Please let me know if you have requests or suggestions for speakers or topics, and especially if you want to speak at the Forum about projects you have carried out in your own communities.
We will be using the nearby Quest Harbour Apartments for accommodation. Uniquely located on the Quay on Challenger Harbour, Quest Harbour Village is within easy walking distance to Fremantle’s historical mid-19th Century buildings, galleries, museums, boutique bars and restaurants. All apartments have a view of either the Fishing Boat Harbour or Challenger Harbour and ocean. http://www.questapartments.com.au/Accomm...lcome.aspxWe look forward to your company at the Maritime Museum in Fremantle on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th November 2012.
Registrations will be opening soon. Limited travel assistance may be available.
