Albany Core of Life Facilitator training 30 & 31 May
We are pleased to let you know that we are running a two day Core of Life Facilitator Training workshop in Albany on the 30th and 31st May, 2012. The registration fee is $100.00 (GST free) per person. This workshop is partly funded by FPWA/OATSIH and AMSSU/Closing the Gap in Indigenous Early Childhood Development. Please see the Flyer/Registration form and Information brochure attached.
Core of Life is an education program mainly for adolescents and young parents about the choices and challenges of being pregnant, giving birth and the early weeks of becoming a parent. The information is delivered in a dynamic, interactive manner by at least two facilitators in both school and community settings. Maternity, youth, health and education workers and community members are encouraged to apply for this facilitator training. COL uses slide images, video, discussion and role play to portray real life and offers a variety of proven quality teaching resources to increase the effectiveness of this type of education to a variety of audiences. The program and resources have been successfully adapted for Aboriginal young people. Places are limited so please register early for this exciting program.
